Previously awarded in just 20 constituencies (representing over 60 countries), the scholarship is now fully global, with two new Global Scholarships allowing applicants from around the world to apply.

Eligibility Criteria
To be qualified for the University of Oxford Rhodes Scholarship 2025, applicants must:
- Nationality/Citizenship:
- Apply only if you are not eligible through any existing Rhodes constituency.
- Candidates with connections to a constituency but who do not meet the eligibility criteria may consider inter-jurisdictional consideration or apply through the Global Scholarship.
- Age Requirements:
- Be aged 18–24 on October 1, 2025 (born after October 1, 2000, and before October 2, 2007).
- OR for professional programs (medicine, law, engineering, etc.), be aged 18–25 (born after October 1, 1999).
- OR if your first undergraduate degree was completed later than usual, be under 27 on October 1, 2025 (born after October 1, 1998), and have completed your degree on or after October 1, 2024.
- Academic Achievement:
- Have completed an undergraduate (Bachelor’s) degree.
- Candidates with a First Class Honours or equivalent stand a higher chance of admission.
- English Language Proficiency:
- Meet the Higher Level of Oxford’s English proficiency requirements.
- You are exempt if English is your first language and you are from a majority English-speaking country.
