The selected student will work under the supervision of:

  • Dr. Padmanava Dash — Department of Geosciences, Mississippi State University (MSU)

The program encourages applicants with strong interest in environmental sciences, geospatial analysis, and ecological systems research.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, forest engineering, agricultural engineering, environmental sciences, geosciences, geography, or related fields.
  • Have knowledge of remote sensing and satellite imagery analysis.
  • Demonstrate technical ability using ArcGIS Pro, Python, or Google Earth Engine (highly desirable).
  • Possess excellent written and spoken English skills.
  • For non-native English speakers: TOEFL 550 PBT / 79 iBT OR IELTS 6.5 (for MSU Graduate School admission).
  • GRE scores are optional.
