Applications for the University of Glasgow African Excellence Scholarship 2026 are now open. The University of Glasgow is offering up to 15 scholarships to exceptional students from Africa who will commence a one-year postgraduate taught Master’s programme in any discipline during the 2026/27 academic session.
The scholarship is intended for candidates who demonstrate strong academic ability and leadership potential and who wish to further develop their knowledge and skills through postgraduate study. The award covers the full cost of tuition fees only and is aimed at supporting students who are committed to making a positive impact in their home countries and beyond.
Applicants must secure an offer for a postgraduate taught one-year Master’s programme. While an offer is not required at the point of scholarship application, candidates must have received one to be considered for interview and are advised to review programme-specific application timelines on the University of Glasgow website.
Eligibility Criteria
To be qualified for the University of Glasgow African Excellence Award 2026, applicants must:

- Hold international fee status
