The Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship is a highly competitive and prestigious award designed specifically for high-achieving non-EU/non-EEA students who wish to pursue postgraduate studies in Ireland.
Each year, a total of 60 scholarships are awarded across various Irish Higher Education Institutions, including international students admitted to University College Dublin. Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for the UCD Government of Ireland Scholarship 2026, applicants must:
- Be an international non-EU/non-EEA student
- Be enrolling in one of the following for the 2026/27 academic year:
- A 1-year full-time taught Master’s programme
- 1 year of a full-time PhD programme
- Hold an official offer of admission to study at University College Dublin (Applications without a valid offer for an eligible programme will not be considered)
- Be eligible to pay the non-EU/non-EEA tuition fee rate
