The United Nations has opened applications for the 2026 International Law Fellowship Program for qualified professionals interested in deepening their knowledge of international law.

The United Nations Fellowship Program is organized by the Codification Division of the United Nations Office of Legal Affairs in cooperation with the African Union, the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, and the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.

Selected fellows will receive full sponsorship, including travel costs, accommodation, medical insurance, and a living stipend for the duration of the program.

Fellowship Details

Applications are now open for the 2026 United Nations International Law Fellowship Program designed to provide high-quality training in international law to qualified professionals. Eligibility Criteria

  • Be fluent in the language used for the course (English for the 2026 program)

  • The program will accommodate up to 20 participants

  • Fluency in spoken and written French is also required
