Applications are now open for the UNESCO Global MAB Youth Forum 2026 in Italy. This international youth gathering will take place from 18–22 May 2026 in Rosolina Mare, Italy, under the framework of the UNESCO Man and the Biosphere (MAB) Programme.

The forum will bring together 200 selected young participants from across the globe. There is no application fee required to apply. The 2026 theme, “Committed to the Future We Want,” highlights the importance of youth engagement in biodiversity conservation, climate action, and sustainable development within Biosphere Reserves.

Scholarship Details

The UNESCO Global MAB Youth Forum 2026 is designed to empower young leaders who are actively engaged in UNESCO Biosphere Reserves. Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the UNESCO Global MAB Youth Forum 2026, applicants must:

  • Be between 18 and 35 years old
  • Be actively connected to a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve
  • Be living, studying, working, volunteering, or conducting research in a Biosphere Reserve
  • Demonstrate a strong interest in biodiversity, climate change, or sustainable development
  • Be fully available to participate during the forum dates in Italy
