Launched in 2023, UGRIP is MBZUAI’s flagship experiential research internship, created to expose undergraduates to cutting-edge artificial intelligence research under the guidance of leading global experts.
The program is structured to help participants strengthen their research skills, build meaningful academic networks with top AI researchers, and experience academic and cultural life in the UAE. Through UGRIP, students gain early exposure to advanced AI research while exploring future academic and career pathways in artificial intelligence and related disciplines.
Eligibility Criteria
To be qualified for the UAE Undergraduate Research Internship Program (UGRIP), applicants must:
- Be undergraduate students in the penultimate year of a STEM-related program
- Be graduating after August 2026
- Have a minimum CGPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent
