Scholarship Details
The TotalEnergies OML 58 Scholarship was established to promote academic excellence and human capital development among students from host communities within the OML 58 operational area. The scholarship forms part of TotalEnergies Nigeria’s commitment to sustainable development through education, particularly for communities directly impacted by its oil and gas operations.
OML 58 consists of five major fields—Erema, Olo, Ubeta, Obagi, and the Ibewa gas/condensate field—with Obagi being the oldest and one of the largest fields within the Joint Venture. Located onshore in Rivers State, approximately 85 kilometres northwest of Port Harcourt, OML 58 plays a strategic role in Nigeria’s energy sector. The upgrade projects in the area were designed to improve oil recovery, boost gas supply for industrial and domestic use, increase deliveries to the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) project, and support the Federal Government’s gas flare-out policy. Through this scholarship, TotalEnergies aims to empower indigenous students by easing financial barriers to higher education.

- Hail from one of the OML 58 host communities, including:
