Scholarship Details
The Texas A&M University Graduate Scholarship is currently offered through the Duell Lab of Plant–Microbial Interactions for motivated M.Sc. and Ph.D. candidates. The research group focuses on the study of plant–microbiome relationships through perspectives of community ecology, co-evolution, and environmental land-use history. Their work examines how microbial organisms associated with plants, especially mycorrhizal fungi and other root symbionts—influence plant performance, ecological coexistence, and ecosystem recovery processes.
The research integrates field-based ecological study, molecular techniques (such as DNA sequencing and metabarcoding), and controlled experiments to investigate interactions between plants, microbes, and the environment.
