The scholarship was established to support outstanding international students from diverse backgrounds to study undergraduate courses across various faculties at the University of Sydney.
Each year, approximately 20 scholarships are awarded globally across both intakes, with a focus on diversity in both course selection and nationality. The scholarship covers the full cost of tuition and amenities fees for up to four years of full-time undergraduate study.
Eligibility Criteria
To be qualified for the Sydney International Undergraduate Scholarship, applicants must:
- Have applied for but not yet commenced a single undergraduate coursework degree (may include embedded honours) at the University of Sydney at the time of award
- Apply for an eligible course at the university
- Be enrolled full-time in their eligible degree
- Not be commencing a second degree at the University of Sydney
- Be an international student as defined in the Higher Education Support Act 2003
- Not hold Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or dual citizenship with Australia
- Have completed secondary school or a foundation program in Australia or at a recognised University of Sydney foundation partner
- Not have previously undertaken any tertiary studies (excluding Year 12 extension studies)
