The Swedish Institute Scholarship for Global Professionals is designed to support academically strong and leadership-oriented students who wish to study a Master’s degree in Sweden. Scholarship Benefits
Successful applicants of the Swedish Institute Scholarships will receive:
- Full tuition fee coverage, paid directly to the university by the Swedish Institute
- Monthly living allowance of SEK 12,000 to cover accommodation, food, transport, and daily expenses
- One-time travel grant
- SEK 15,000 for most countries
- SEK 10,000 for students from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine
- Membership in the SI Network for Global Professionals (NFGP) for leadership development and professional networking
- Access to the Sweden Alumni Network after graduation for continued professional growth
Eligibility Criteria
To be qualified for the Swedish Institute Scholarships 2026/2027, applicants must:
- Be a citizen of an eligible country
- Have at least 3,000 hours of documented work experience
- Demonstrate leadership experience through employment
- Show leadership involvement in civil society or community activities
- Be admitted to an eligible Master’s program in Sweden

How to Apply
To apply for the Swedish Institute Scholarships 2026/2027:
- Apply for a Master’s program via UniversityAdmissions.se between 16 October 2025 and 15 January 2026
- Save your personal application number issued after submitting your university application
- Apply separately for the SI Scholarship for Global Professionals during February 2026
- Apply for up to four Master’s programs, ensuring they are eligible for the SI Scholarship
- Enter your personal application number correctly when submitting the SI Scholarship application
