Scholarship Details
The Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship offers international students the opportunity to study in Hungary under bilateral education agreements between Hungary and partner countries.
The programme provides access to over 1200 academic programs across multiple study levels in accredited Hungarian institutions.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scholarship:
- Open to applicants from all eligible partner countries
- Applicants must not be citizens of Hungary or hold dual Hungarian nationality
- Applicants must be 18 years or older by August 31, 2025
- Applicants must not currently be studying in Hungary on a self-funded basis
- Previous beneficiaries of the scholarship are not eligible to reapply
Scholarship Benefits
For Bachelor’s, Master’s, One-Tier Master’s and Non-Degree Programs:
- Tuition-Free Education
- Monthly Stipend: HUF 43,700 per month (approx. €110)
- Accommodation Support: Free dormitory space or HUF 40,000/month housing allowance
- Medical Insurance + supplementary coverage up to HUF 65,000 per year
For Doctoral Studies:
- Tuition-Free Education
- Monthly Stipend:
- HUF 140,000/month for first phase (4 semesters)
- HUF 180,000/month for second phase (4 semesters)
- Accommodation Support: Free dormitory or HUF 40,000/month housing allowance
- Medical Insurance + supplementary coverage up to HUF 65,000 per year
