In response to the growing financial challenges limiting access to quality education in Nigeria, Selar has launched the Smart Hustle Initiative 2026 as part of its corporate social responsibility efforts.
The initiative serves as Selar’s social impact arm, aimed at addressing systemic issues such as fraud by promoting education, expanding opportunities for young Nigerians, and encouraging belief in legitimate and sustainable pathways to success.
With the steady rise in tuition fees nationwide, many students are struggling to complete their academic programs. Through this initiative, Selar is committing ₦10,000,000 to support students at crucial stages of their education. A total of 50 final-year tertiary students will receive ₦100,000 each, while 100 SS3 secondary school students will receive ₦50,000 each to ease financial burdens and support academic progression.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the Selar Smart Hustle Initiative 2026, applicants must meet the following requirements:
For University/Polytechnic Students:
- Be currently living and studying in Nigeria
- Be a final-year student in an accredited tertiary institution (public, private, or polytechnic)
- Have a minimum CGPA of 3.0 or 65% cumulative grade
- Demonstrate clear financial or economic need
- Submit a Statement of Purpose (Video Format)
- Provide a valid student ID card
- Provide the most recent academic transcript
For Secondary School Students (SS3):
- Provide proof of SS3 status (First term school result)
- Provide evidence of registration for WAEC or JAMB
- Submit a video application
