Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the ScottishPower Masters Scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be a graduate or final-year student at a recognised university.
  • Possess, or expect to obtain, a Bachelor’s degree with Honours (minimum 2:1 or equivalent) or a Master’s degree from a recognised institution.
  • If still in the final year of study (2025/2026 session), applicants must obtain the required degree classification by June/July 2026.
  • Submit an application for admission to a participating UK university before applying for the scholarship.
  • Not be receiving any salary, wages, or other scholarships/financial aid from public or private organisations during the scholarship period.
  • Not have previously received a scholarship from ScottishPower, the ScottishPower Foundation, or any company within the Iberdrola Group.

Scholarship Benefits

Successful applicants for the ScottishPower Scholarship will receive:

  • Full payment of university enrolment and tuition fees
  • Monthly stipend of £1,200 (equivalent to £14,400 per year)
  • Company mentor to support academic and career development
  • Support in identifying an industry-related project relevant to their academic studies

Scholar Responsibilities

In return for the scholarship, selected scholars are expected to:

  • Promote career opportunities available within ScottishPower

  • Support recruitment and engagement activities organised by the company on campus or virtually
