Program Details
The Rockefeller University Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) brings together exceptional college students from around the world for a 10-week research experience in New York City. The fellowship is tailored for motivated undergraduates majoring in the life sciences or physical sciences who are eager to explore hands-on laboratory research.
Students are paired with faculty members, postdoctoral fellows, or graduate researchers based on their academic interests, and each mentor helps design and oversee a personalized research project for the duration of the summer program.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the Rockefeller University SURF Program, applicants must:
- Be either U.S. citizens or international students
- Be currently enrolled as undergraduate students
- Demonstrate strong academic performance and interest in scientific research
- Hold a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
