Scholarship Details

The Presidential Amnesty Scholarship is an essential part of the broader goals of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), aimed at successfully reintegrating ex-agitators from the Niger Delta into society through education and capacity-building initiatives.

This scholarship initiative is well-funded and specifically designed for candidates who wish to pursue tertiary education at selected Nigerian institutions.

Consistent with previous years, the program seeks to empower ex-agitators and indigenes of the Niger Delta who aspire to improve their lives through higher education and skills development.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Presidential Amnesty Scholarship 2025, applicants must:

  • Be indigenes of the Niger Delta States: Abia, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, Edo, Ondo, Imo, or Rivers
  • Present only the 2025 JAMB result (earlier years will not be accepted)
  • Be permitted to register and save their applications while awaiting the release of their JAMB results
  • Be new entrants into 100-level for Undergraduate and Master’s Degree programs
  • For undergraduate applicants, submit only JAMB (2025/2026) and O’Level results; O’Level results can be either WAEC, NECO, or a combination of both
  • Maintain, for each academic session, a minimum average CGPA of 2.5 over 5.0 or 2.0 over 4.0 to remain eligible under the PAP scholarship
  • Refrain from any misconduct or violations of PAP regulations
  • Note that PAP reserves the right to withdraw the scholarship in cases of misconduct or if information provided is found to be false or misleading

  • 2025/2026 JAMB result
  • Local Government Area (L.G.A.) Letter of Identification

For Postgraduate Students:

  • Statement of Result or Degree Certificate
  • Transcript of First Degree
  • NYSC Certificate
