As the first Nigerian university to partner with the Mastercard Foundation, Pan Atlantic University (PAU) is dedicated to educating and empowering 650 Scholars over the next ten years through this transformative initiative.
The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at PAU is designed to:
- Provide access to high-quality education: Ensuring that talented individuals can pursue their academic goals
- Develop future leaders: Fostering an entrepreneurial mindset, leadership skills, and social responsibility
- Foster career success: Offering career guidance, mentorship, and internship opportunities
- Drive positive social change: Empowering Scholars to give back to their communities through service
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Pan Atlantic University Mastercard Foundation Scholarship, applicants must:
- Demonstrate academic excellence
- Demonstrate leadership potential
- Demonstrate financial need
- Be young women interested in STEM programmes
- Be internally displaced young people
- Be young people with disabilities
- Show commitment to community service
- Have passed WAEC/NECO/GCE/NABTEB with 5 credits including English and Mathematics, and three other subjects in Arts, Sciences, or Social Sciences in not more than two sittings
- Have a minimum UTME score of 220
- UTME subjects must include English Language and any three of Social Science, Arts, or Science subjects

How to Apply
To apply for the Pan Atlantic University Mastercard Foundation Scholarship, follow these steps:
- Step 1: Meet the Academic Requirements
- Minimum of five (5) O’Level credits, including Mathematics and English Language, in not more than two sittings
- Step 2: Fill Out the Application Interest Form
- If you do not yet have your UTME result, complete the Interest Form to indicate your intention to apply
- Step 3: Write the JAMB UTME
- Sit for the JAMB UTME and achieve a minimum score of 220 to proceed
- Step 4: Complete the Online Application Form
- If you have the current year UTME result, complete the application form with your personal, academic, and background information, including supporting documents
- Step 5: Screening and Shortlisting for Interviews
- Applications are reviewed for eligibility
- Shortlisted candidates are invited for an interview, either virtually or in-person
- Step 6: Admission and Scholarship Award
- Successful candidates will be notified of their admission into Pan Atlantic University and offered the Mastercard Foundation Scholarship
