Osaka University, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) of Japan, is accepting applications from international students for its 2026 MEXT Scholarship Program.

Eligibility Criteria
Undergraduate Applicants:
- Must be a citizen of a country that maintains diplomatic relations with Japan
- Must pass the entrance examination for eligible programs at Osaka University

Graduate Applicants (Master’s & PhD):
- Must hold a relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree before arrival
- Must pass the screening process conducted by Japanese embassies or consulates in their home country
- Must obtain a Letter of Acceptance from Osaka University after passing the embassy’s initial screening
- May be required to undertake Japanese language training before admission, depending on program requirements
