Scholarship Details
As part of its continued commitment to promote education and support students in their academic journey, the Ondo State Scholarship Board announces the availability of forms for its 2025 Scholarship, Bursary, and Financial Assistance Awards.
The initiative is aimed at students of Ondo State origin across all tertiary institutions in Nigeria, including universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, and health institutions.
Established on April 26, 2000, the Ondo State Scholarship Board functions as a key interventionist agency of the State Government in the education sector.
Eligibility Criteria
To be qualified for the Ondo State Scholarship and Bursary Awards, applicants must:
For Scholarship Awards
• Be a student of Ondo State origin
• Be enrolled in the second year or above of a degree program
• Have a minimum CGPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale for universities
• Have a minimum CGPA of 4.0 on a 5.0 scale for universities
• Have a minimum CGPA of 3.0 for polytechnic students
For Financial Assistance
• Be a student of Ondo State origin
• Be enrolled in Nigerian Law Schools, or undergoing clinical training as a medical student
• Or be physically challenged and currently enrolled in a tertiary institution
For Bursary Award
• Be a student of Ondo State origin
• Be enrolled in a Nigerian University, Polytechnic, Monotechnic, College of Education, School of Nursing/Midwifery, or College of Health Technology
Scholarship Benefits
Successful applicants of the Ondo State Scholarship and Bursary will receive:
• ₦100,000 scholarship award for eligible students
• ₦10,000 bursary grant for students across approved institutions
• ₦50,000 special financial assistance for physically challenged students in NCE, OND, HND, Undergraduate, and Postgraduate levels
• ₦50,000 financial assistance also available to students in Law Schools and medical students regardless of grades
