Scholarship Details
In line with its dedication to promoting quality education and easing financial burdens on students, the Ondo State Scholarship Board has commenced the sale of application forms for the 2025/2026 Academic Session. The initiative covers Scholarship Awards, Bursary Awards, and Financial Assistance for eligible students of Ondo State origin studying in tertiary institutions across Nigeria. Established on April 26, 2000, the Board serves as one of the key intervention agencies of the Ondo State Government in the education sector, consistently providing financial aid to help students achieve academic excellence and complete their programs successfully.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Ondo State Scholarship and Bursary, applicants must meet the following criteria:
For Ondo State Scholarship Awards
- Must be a student of Ondo State origin
- Must be in second (2nd) year or above in their course of study
- Minimum CGPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale (Universities)
- Minimum CGPA of 4.0 on a 5.0 scale (Universities)
- Polytechnic students must have a minimum CGPA of 3.0
For Financial Assistance
- Must be an indigene of Ondo State
- Must be enrolled in:
- Nigerian Law Schools
- Medical students undergoing clinical training
- Or physically challenged students in tertiary institutions nationwide
For Ondo State Bursary Award
- Must be a student of Ondo State origin
- Must be enrolled in:
- Universities
- Polytechnics
- Monotechnics
- Colleges of Education
- Schools of Nursing/Midwifery
- Colleges of Health Technology across Nigeria
Scholarship Benefits
Successful applicants will receive:
- ₦100,000 Scholarship Award to support educational expenses
- ₦10,000 Burbsary Grant to assist with academic costs
- ₦50,000 annual financial assistance for physically challenged Ondo State indigenes in recognized tertiary institutions (NCE, OND, HND, Undergraduate, and Postgraduate levels)
- Financial support also extends to Law School students and medical students, regardless of academic grades
