Scholarship Details
Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company Limited (SNEPCo), on behalf of itself, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited, and its co-venture partners, invites qualified Nigerian students to apply for the 2025 NNPC/SNEPCo National University Scholarship Programme.
The scholarship aims to foster academic achievement and equip young Nigerians with essential skills. It provides an annual grant to selected candidates, beginning from their second year and continuing through to the end of their undergraduate studies.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the NNPC/Shell Scholarship 2025, applicants must:
- Be Nigerian citizens
- Be in their second year of full-time study at a Nigerian university accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC)
- Maintain a minimum CGPA of 3.5 on a 5-point scale or the equivalent in other grading systems
- Not be receiving any other scholarship from oil and gas industry entities, either nationally or internationally
- Female students are strongly encouraged to apply

Recipients of the NNPC/Shell National University Scholarship will receive:
- An annual grant of ₦200,000 for each year of their undergraduate program, starting from their second year
Required Documents
Applicants must upload scanned copies of the following documents as part of their application:
- Recent passport-sized photograph in JPEG format (not exceeding 200KB)
- University or JAMB admission letter
- Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) result
- O’ Level result(s), and where applicable, A’ Level/OND/NCE results
- Letter of identification from the applicant’s State of Origin indicating local government of origin
- Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) result after the first year, showing at least two academic semesters completed

How to Apply

- Click “Apply Now” in the top right corner of the page
- Click “Register Now” to create an account
- Check your email to activate your account
- Enter your personal details, National Identification Number (NIN), educational background, and other required information
- Upload all necessary scanned documents
- Ensure the name on your application matches your documents. If not, provide a sworn affidavit or relevant certificate
- Check all uploaded documents for clarity and accuracy
- When prompted, upload a passport photograph with a white background
- Review your application details carefully to avoid mistakes
- Click “Apply Now” to submit your application
- You will receive both an email and an SMS confirming your successful application
- Return to Scholastica website, log in with your email and password, and download your profile
- Have your Head of Department sign the printed profile document
- Upload a scanned copy of the signed profile for verification purposes
