Scholarship Details
The NLNG Undergraduate Scholarship Scheme is part of the organization’s commitment to advancing education and building human capacity in Nigeria. The 2026 edition invites applications from first-year students in the 2025/2026 academic session who are enrolled in federal or state universities.
This scholarship aims to empower academically strong undergraduates by providing financial support that enables them to excel academically and contribute positively to national development. In promoting inclusivity, NLNG encourages applications from all eligible candidates, including Persons Living with Disabilities (PLWDs).
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the NLNG Undergraduate Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be a citizen of Nigeria and currently residing in the country
- Be a full-time first-year undergraduate student in the 2025/2026 academic session at a federal or state-owned university
- Possess at least five O-Level credits, including Mathematics and English, obtained in one sitting (WAEC, SSCE, or NECO)
- Be between 18 and 25 years old at the time of application
- Not be receiving any other scholarship, bursary, or financial award from another organization
- Not be a spouse, child, ward, or direct relative of NLNG staff

- Completed Application Form
- Recent passport photograph (white background, not older than 3 months, 450px by 450px, max 200kb)
- O-Level and UTME results
- University and JAMB Admission Letters
- University Student ID Card
- Birth Certificate issued by the National Population Commission
- Local Government Area (LGA) Identification Letter
- National Identification Number (NIN) Slip
How to Apply
To apply for the NLNG Undergraduate Scholarship, interested and qualified candidates should:

- Apply using a valid registered email address and mobile number
- Complete the online application by filling in all required fields
- Upload a recent passport photograph (no glasses) and copies of WAEC/NECO/SSCE results, UTME score, JAMB Admission Letter, LGA Identification, and Birth Certificate
- Eligible applicants will be invited for an online proctored computer-based selection test (only shortlisted candidates will receive this invitation)
- Successful candidates after the test will be requested to provide an additional set of required documents
- Scholarships will be awarded only to applicants who meet all eligibility conditions and complete all selection stages
