The IDG 2025 National Girls Leadership Essay Competition is an initiative created to nurture the leadership skills of young Nigerian girls and empower them to take on active roles in nation-building. Organized in celebration of the International Day of the Girl Child 2025, this competition provides a platform for female students between the ages of 10 and 20 years to express their ideas, creativity, and vision for a better Nigeria.
Themed “The Girl I Am, The Change I Lead: Girls on the Frontlines of Crisis”, this year’s program focuses on breaking stereotypes and exploring how girls can transform challenges into opportunities.

Beyond the Stereotype: Nigerian Girls Breaking Barriers with a Toolbox. What role can young girls play in addressing unemployment through vocational skilling and turning challenges into opportunities? (150 words)
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the National Girls Leadership Essay Competition 2025, applicants must:

Winners of the National Girls Leadership Essay Competition 2025 will receive:
