Program Details
The MTN Yellopreneur Grant is an initiative focused on reducing unemployment among women and promoting female entrepreneurship in Nigeria. The program equips young women with essential entrepreneurial skills and provides access to funding to help them establish and expand their businesses.
Launched by the MTN Nigeria Foundation in 2022, the program has already made a significant impact by training 4,711 female entrepreneurs in the fundamentals of business management and development.
Participants who complete the training have the opportunity to access equipment loans and grants of up to ₦5 million to support their businesses. Through this initiative, over ₦94 million in equipment loans has already been disbursed to 50 female entrepreneurs.
An added advantage of the program is that beneficiaries who fully repay their loans will receive 25% of the loan value as a grant, further supporting the growth and sustainability of their businesses.
