The MTN ICT and Business Skills Training Program is a youth-focused initiative designed to empower young Nigerian entrepreneurs between the ages of 18 and 35 with essential digital and business skills. Through a comprehensive 5-week virtual training program, participants will gain access to expert-led masterclasses and be equipped with relevant tools to keep their businesses competitive in a fast-evolving digital world.
Additionally, participants will receive free mobile data during the training, and the top 300 performers will benefit from a share of the ₦90 million Equipment Grant.

Applications are now open for the 2025 MTN ICT Business Skills Training Program (Cohort 6). Since its launch in 2018, the initiative has been implemented in partnership with global tech giants such as Oracle, KPMG, IBM, Google, CISCO, Meta, Microsoft, and the Digital Bridge Institute, reaching youth across 16 states including Abia, Adamawa, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Borno, Cross River, Imo, Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kogi, Lagos, Nasarawa, Oyo, and Rivers.
To date, 4,036 young Nigerians have successfully completed the training, and the 6th cohort promises to deliver even more impact.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the MTN ICT Business Skills Training Program 2025, applicants must:
- Be Nigerian, aged between 18 and 35 years
- Own and operate a small business that has been active for no more than 2 years
- Be based in one of the following states: Ebonyi, Edo, Ekiti, Kebbi, Niger, or Yobe
Scholarship Benefits
In this 6th cohort, 3,000 youth entrepreneurs will be selected for the training. Participants will benefit from:
- Specialized training by Microsoft on Entrepreneurship in the Digital Age, ICT for Business Success, and Generative AI Skills
- Meta’s expert sessions on how to build strong brands and grow small businesses online through the Meta Boost Small Business Studios
- Free internet data for the entire 5-week online training duration
- The top 300 participants will receive an Equipment Grant as part of a ₦90 million disbursement to enhance their business operations
