Are you a young changemaker passionate about solving environmental challenges within your community and beyond?
Mercedes-Benz is inviting 1,000 Fellows to join the 2026 cohort, beginning in May 2026. Applications officially open on September 17, 2025. The fellowship seeks ambitious, innovative, and committed individuals who are eager to drive eco-innovation and sustainability.
The program was launched in 2023 and is implemented by The DO School Fellowships, funded by Mercedes-Benz. Its mission is to provide young people worldwide with the resources, mentorship, and opportunities to create lasting environmental impact.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be between 16 and 28 years old
- Be passionate about tackling environmental challenges
- Reside in one of the participating countries for the duration of the fellowship
- Possess good oral and written communication skills in English
- No prior entrepreneurial experience required, just passion and drive
- Eligible countries include: Argentina, Australia, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Europe, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Kenya, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Panama, Philippines, Rwanda, Singapore, South Africa, Tanzania, Thailand, Uganda, USA, Vietnam, Zimbabwe, among others

How to Apply
The application process is divided into three stages and takes approximately 30–40 minutes to complete:
- Written Application
- Provide basic personal and contact information
- Share your project idea and passion for solving an environmental challenge
- Indicate your learning and financial needs
- Complete a Self-Assessment Test
- Upload a scanned copy of your passport or national ID
- Video Interview
- Record a 3-minute video via the application platform
- Discuss the environmental challenge you are passionate about and your proposed solution
- Financial Support Application (Optional)
- For applicants seeking financial assistance to participate
- Provide a Reference Request and an Income Declaration
