The McCall MacBain Scholarship is fully funded for your entire Master’s or professional program at McGill University in Canada.

The McGill University McCall MacBain Scholarship also provides living stipends to cover your expenses while studying. If you need to move to Montréal, a relocation grant will also be provided.

Scholarship Details

Applications for the 2025 cohort of the McCall MacBain Scholarship will open on June 1st, 2025.

McCall MacBain Scholars pursue a fully funded Master’s or second-entry professional undergraduate program at McGill University while participating in an interdisciplinary leadership development program.

  • Up to 20 Canadians (citizens, permanent residents, and refugees)
  • Up to 10 international candidates
    will be chosen as McCall MacBain Scholars for the 2025 intake.

As an applicant, you are also eligible for additional awards:

  • Close to 100 finalists and regional awards will be offered to outstanding candidates during the interview process.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the McCall MacBain Scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be a current student on track to earn their first bachelor’s degree by August 2026
  • Have earned a first bachelor’s degree in the last five years (January 2020 or later)
  • Have earned their first degree more than five years ago and be 30 years or younger in 2025
  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) as recognized by McGill University
  • Meet the minimum academic and language requirements for admission to a McGill Master’s program

Scholarship Benefits

The McCall MacBain Scholarship covers:

  • Tuition and fees for the full normal duration of your Master’s or professional program
  • Living stipend of $2,300/month during academic terms
  • One-time relocation grant for moving to Montréal
  • Beginner to advanced French language courses offered through McGill
  • Scholars not pursuing an academic term during the summer may apply for up to $5,000 to undertake meaningful summer initiatives
