Scholarship Details
The Learn Africa Scholarship Program is an initiative of the Women for Africa Foundation, established in February 2012 by María Teresa Fernández de la Vega, the former Vice President of the Spanish Government. The initiative focuses on empowering African women by providing academic opportunities in Spanish universities and strengthening knowledge exchange between Africa and Spain.
Launched in 2013, the program aims to promote capacity development, knowledge transfer, and academic collaboration for female African university students. Through this initiative, talented women from African countries gain access to quality postgraduate education and professional development opportunities.
The scholarship offers a broader range of study formats, allowing participants to choose the most suitable learning method based on their personal circumstances. These formats include face-to-face studies in Spain, fully online programs, and blended (hybrid) learning models. The initiative continues to expand each year, enabling more African women to benefit from international academic exposure and leadership development.
