The Lagos State Scholarship Board has announced the commencement of applications for the 2025/2026 Bursary and Scholarship Awards, targeted at indigenes of Lagos State currently enrolled in tertiary institutions. The Board, established in February 1968 shortly after the creation of Lagos State, is the government agency responsible for managing bursaries, scholarships, and other education-related support schemes within the state.
This initiative is designed to support students financially, encourage academic excellence, and reduce the burden of educational expenses for deserving Lagos State indigenes.
Lagos State Scholarship Board Requirements
This scholarship opportunity is open to indigenous students of Lagos State studying in recognized tertiary institutions across Nigeria. Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Must have secured full-time admission into a tertiary institution
- Must be a bonafide indigene of Lagos State (by paternity)
Eligibility Criteria

- Technical Colleges: ₦100,000
- Polytechnics / Colleges of Education: ₦200,000
- First Degree: ₦200,000
- Master’s Degree: ₦300,000
- Doctorate Degree: ₦400,000

For Lagos State University (LASU) Students:
- Freshers: ₦35,000
- Arts Students: ₦25,000
- Science Students: ₦30,000
- Physically Challenged Students: ₦40,000
- Law / Engineering / Medical Students: ₦50,000
For Students from Other Institutions:
- Arts Students: ₦20,000
- Science Students: ₦30,000
- Physically Challenged Students: ₦40,000

- Law School & Maritime Academy Students: ₦200,000
