Scholarship Details
We are delighted to announce two full-time King’s College London postgraduate nursing scholarships in the Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery & Palliative Care.
The scholarships are generously funded by The Burdett Trust for Nursing and cover both tuition fees and living costs. The scholarships will have a particular focus on developing leadership and research capacity within the nursing profession.
They are available for full-time entry onto one of the eligible postgraduate courses and provide a unique opportunity for nurses and midwives who aspire to develop into senior leadership roles and improve the quality of services and outcomes for patients by building nursing research capacity both nationally and internationally.
Eligibility Criteria
To be qualified for the King’s College London Nursing Scholarship 2025, applicants must:
- Be a nurse or midwife applying for one of the full-time eligible courses at KCL
- Be a UK, EU, or overseas student
- Be present in London during the academic year for on-campus teaching delivery and face-to-face contact
Scholarship Benefits
Successful applicants of the King’s College London Nursing Scholarship 2025 will receive:
- Full-time tuition fees for one of the eligible postgraduate programmes
- For UK (Home) students: £10,769 annual stipend and full tuition fees
- For international students: £18,307 annual stipend and full tuition fees
Required Documents
To apply for this scholarship, applicants must prepare the following documents:
- A CV of no more than two pages, including proof of professional registration as a nurse
- Two references (at least one academic; professional references allowed if academic qualification was over 5 years ago)
- A personal statement (max 4,000 characters or two pages) explaining how the Burdett Fellowship will impact you and your professional community
- An outline of your research interests and a potential project to be undertaken during your studies
- International applicants must include a letter of support from their health institution endorsing their research activities in their home country
