Eligibility Criteria

Scholarship Benefits
Successful applicants of the JSPS Fellowship will receive:
- Round-trip international airfare (in line with JSPS regulations)
- Monthly Stipend:
- ¥362,000 for researchers with a Ph.D.
- ¥200,000 for researchers without a Ph.D.
- (Stipend increases to ¥362,000 upon Ph.D. completion during the fellowship)
- Settling-in Allowance: One-time ¥200,000 (for stays of 3 months or more)
- Health Insurance: Fully covered overseas travel insurance
- Research Support: Up to ¥70,000/month for research expenses (applied by the host institution)
Note: If you are already in Japan before your fellowship begins, airfare and settling-in allowance will not be provided.
