Scholarship Details
The Jim Ovia Foundation Scholarship, established in October 2010 by Mr. Jim Ovia, CEO of Zenith Bank, was created to empower promising Nigerian youths through quality education and ICT advancement. Over the years, the foundation has invested more than ₦100 million, supporting over 1,500 beneficiaries through scholarships and entrepreneurial initiatives.
The goal of the program is to nurture a strong network of future leaders who possess global competitiveness, creativity, and a commitment to positively impacting their communities. Through its various educational and ICT-driven programs, the foundation continues to build the nation’s future by expanding the knowledge, skills, and capacity of young Nigerians. To date, the Jim Ovia Foundation has provided funding exceeding ₦1 billion in scholarships and grants through flagship programs such as the Jim Ovia Scholarship, the Jim Ovia ICT Entrepreneurs Program, and the Jim Ovia Foundation Leaders Scholarship (JOFLS).
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Jim Ovia Foundation Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be a Nigerian citizen
- Be currently enrolled or seeking enrollment in an accredited tertiary institution in Nigeria

- Signed & Stamped Student Copy of CGPA Result
- Medical students must provide their most recent stamped examination results showing courses, grades, and CGPA
- Original Copy of HOD’s Recommendation Letter
- Must include current academic level, session, semester, and CGPA — not older than 4 months
- School I.D Card
- Original O’Level Certificate (WAEC, GCE, or NECO)
