Programme Details

The IAEA Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship Programme (MSCFP) is designed to inspire young women to enter and thrive in the nuclear field. The programme provides financial support for Master’s degree studies in nuclear-related disciplines and also offers internship opportunities facilitated by the IAEA.

The scholarship supports academic advancement in areas such as nuclear engineering, nuclear physics, chemistry, nuclear medicine, isotopic techniques, radiation biology, nuclear safety, nuclear security, non-proliferation, and nuclear law. By doing so, the MSCFP contributes to developing the next generation of female leaders in the safe, secure, and peaceful use of nuclear science and technology.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the IAEA Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship Programme 2026, applicants must:

  • Be female candidates from any country.
  • Be accepted into or enrolled in an accredited Master’s programme in a nuclear-related field.
  • Demonstrate strong academic performance, preferably with results above 75% or a GPA higher than 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

Scholarship Benefits

The fellowship provides:

  • Up to €20,000 for tuition costs
  • Up to €20,000 for living expenses during the Master’s programme

  • Copy of Passport or National Identification
  • Official admission or acceptance letter into a Master’s programme in a nuclear-related field (including duration of study)
  • Statement of tuition fees or official confirmation of tuition costs
  • Two completed reference forms, sent directly by referees to [email protected] (downloadable from the application portal)

Important Note:

  • All documents must be submitted in English via the official MSCFP online application form.
  • If documents are issued in another language, an official English translation must be included.
  • Incomplete applications will not be considered.
