Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the Hansen Leadership Institute Fellowship, applicants must:
For International Students
- Must be an upper-division undergraduate (minimum of two years of university completed) or a graduate student
- Must be 20–26 years old by July 1, 2026
- Must have English proficiency verified by an academic advisor
- Must show proven leadership through community service, volunteer work, or non-governmental involvement
- Must possess a valid passport and be eligible to obtain a U.S. visa
- Preference is given to applicants who have never visited the U.S.
For U.S. Students
- Must meet the same educational requirements as international applicants
- Must be 20–26 years old by July 1, 2026
- Must demonstrate leadership involvement similar to international applicants
