Scholarship Details
The HAN Scholarships are provided by the HAN University of Applied Sciences in partnership with the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science. The scholarship is aimed at high-achieving international students from outside the EU/EEA who have demonstrated excellence in their academic journey as well as personal development.
The programme supports students admitted into full-time, English-taught Bachelor’s or Master’s degree programmes at HAN. It is designed to encourage talented individuals who show strong motivation, leadership potential, and a clear academic and career vision. Candidates who do not meet the eligibility requirements are encouraged to explore alternative funding options through organisations in their home countries or via the Study in NL platform.
Eligibility Criteria
To be qualified for the HAN University Scholarship 2026, applicants must:
- Be a national of a country outside the EU/EEA
- Not hold a degree from a Dutch educational institution
- Not have previously studied in a degree programme at a Dutch university or university of applied sciences
- Be admitted into a full-time English-taught Bachelor’s or Master’s programme at HAN
- Meet English language requirements, including:
- IELTS score of at least 6.5, or
- TOEFL iBT score of at least 90, or
- Cambridge Certificate (CAE or CPE)
Scholarship Benefits
Successful applicants of the HAN University Scholarship will receive:
- A total grant of €12,500
- €2,500 in the 1st semester
- €2,500 in the 2nd semester
- €2,500 per year for the next three years of study
- Financial support to aid academic and personal development
