Program Details
The Global Research Immersion Program for Students (GRIPS) is a structured summer research internship designed to cultivate a global network of young researchers capable of understanding diverse academic perspectives and cultural experiences. The programme emphasizes inclusivity, respect, accessibility, and empowerment, ensuring a supportive environment for all participants.
Interns will participate in hands-on laboratory and research activities at leading universities in China, working closely with faculty mentors on projects aligned with their academic interests. Research areas span Engineering and Technology, Interdisciplinary Science, Life Sciences and Medicine, Natural Sciences, and Social Sciences, allowing participants to gain practical exposure across a wide range of disciplines.
Beyond research, the programme includes industry visits, academic lectures delivered by distinguished faculty, and guided tours across the Yangtze River Delta region. Participants will also take part in Chinese cultural activities, enriching both their academic and intercultural learning experience.
Eligibility Criteria
To be qualified for the GRIPS Summer Research Internship 2026, applicants must:

- Have completed at least two years of undergraduate study (preferably junior or senior level)
