Eligibility Criteria

  • Be a citizen of a country outside Slovakia
  • Be university students at institutions outside Slovakia who:
    • Are pursuing a Master’s degree (second level of higher education), or
    • Have completed at least 2.5 years of university study in a relevant program
    • Have been accepted for an academic mobility/study stay in Slovakia
  • Be PhD students enrolled at institutions outside Slovakia who are accepted for research or academic training in Slovakia
  • Be international university teachers, researchers, or artists invited for a teaching, research, or creative stay in Slovakia
  • Be accepted by a public, private, or state-accredited Slovak institution for the intended study or research
  • Meet the language requirements in English, French, Slovak, or Spanish, depending on the program

Scholarship Benefits

Successful applicants of the Government of Slovak Republic National Scholarship Programme 2026 will receive:

    • PhD students: €1,025
    • University teachers/researchers/artists: €1,470
