Scholarship Details
The Federal Ministry of Education (FME) has rolled out an Industry Mapping Sensitisation Programme aimed at providing TVET students with workplace-ready skills through structured technical and vocational training. Through this initiative, students will gain valuable hands-on experience in active industries, guided by professionals and mentors.
The initiative spans 18 existing trade areas and will introduce 14 additional emerging disciplines starting in 2026. As part of the programme, the Federal Government will sponsor all training-related costs, offer monthly stipends, and support host industries with mentorship guidelines and tools to enhance student learning.
Sensitisation meetings are scheduled to hold in key regions across the country—Abuja, Lagos, Kano, Yola, Port Harcourt, and Enugu—and industries of all sizes (small, medium, and large-scale) are encouraged to participate and support the programme.
Eligibility Criteria
To be qualified for the FME TVET Industry Mapping Initiative, applicants must:
- Be a Nigerian citizen enrolled or interested in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET)
- Demonstrate interest in acquiring industry-aligned, practical experience
- Be available to participate in sensitisation or training events as scheduled
- Be willing to undergo hands-on field experience under assigned mentors
