Scholarship Details

The FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund is designed to strengthen and expand grassroots educational and sports programs for children in marginalized communities worldwide. By supporting community-based organizations, the Fund promotes equitable access to learning, encourages youth development through sports, and fosters opportunities for children to grow and succeed.

This initiative seeks to create positive, measurable impact in communities by connecting education, culture, and sports to drive long-term transformation.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, organizations must:

  • Be a registered non-profit organization within the country where the project will be implemented
  • Be a community-based, grassroots organization serving between 500 and 10,000 individuals
  • Request no more than 50% of their total annual operating budget for the grant year

Scholarship Benefits

Successful applicants of this scholarship will receive:

  • Access to grants ranging from $50,000 to $250,000 USD

Evaluation Criteria

  • Financial Barriers to Education: Commitment to reducing financial obstacles that limit children’s access to schooling
  • Educational Infrastructure: Efforts to improve learning environments and facility standards
  • Inclusive Practices: Programs ensuring equal access for girls, children with disabilities, and other underserved groups
  • Child Safeguarding: Strong practices that protect children’s safety and well-being
  • Legal Non-Profit Registration: Must be legally recognized within the implementing country
  • Direct Project Implementation: Organization must be directly responsible for the delivery of proposed programs
  • Financial Stability: Ability to demonstrate sound financial management and records (preferably with 3 years of audited or certified financial statements)
