Scholarship Details
The Federal Ministry of Environment, in collaboration with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), is implementing the KPABEP Scholarship Program aimed at empowering female engineering students in Nigeria.
The Federal Government UNIDO Charity Kpabeb Scholarship is designed to support and develop the capabilities of female technicians and engineers by providing financial aid, mentorship, and industry exposure. Through this initiative, 20 exceptional female engineering students will be selected from Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones and supported with resources and training that will prepare them to become future professionals and leaders in the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (RAC) sector.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the Federal Government UNIDO Charity Kpabeb Scholarship, applicants must:
- Identify as a woman
- Be a Nigerian citizen
- Be below 40 years of age at the time of application
- Be enrolled in an accredited Nigerian university or post-secondary institution
- Be studying a full-time engineering or engineering-related course
- Be within the final two years of their academic program
- Demonstrate leadership qualities and participation in extracurricular activities
- Show commitment to attending scholarship workshops, trainings, and engagement events
- Be willing to complete an internship during the scholarship period
- Be ready to submit quarterly progress reports and an internship report
