Eligibility Criteria
To be qualified for the FAO Internship Program 2026, applicants must:
- Be enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate, or postgraduate degree programme at a recognized educational institution at the time of application, or be a recent graduate
- Be specializing in a field relevant to the work and mission of FAO
- Possess a working knowledge of at least one FAO official language (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, or Spanish)
- Have knowledge of a second FAO language, which will be considered an added advantage
- Be a national of an FAO Member Nation
- Be between 21 and 30 years of age
- Demonstrate the ability to adapt to an international and multicultural environment
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Not have immediate family members (father, mother, brother, or sister) currently employed by FAO under any contractual arrangement
- Have the appropriate residence or immigration status for the proposed duty station before the start of the internship
Internship Benefits
Successful applicants for the FAO Internship Program 2026 will receive:
