Scholarship Details

The Erasmus Mundus International Master of Science in Fire Safety Engineering (IMFSE) programme trains the next generation of global experts capable of addressing modern fire safety challenges in the built environment and industrial sectors.

This unique programme allows students to study across different universities—changing locations after each semester—to benefit from the strengths, expertise, and facilities of each institution. The mobility structure enhances academic exposure and practical experience, offering an enriching international learning journey.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Erasmus Mundus IMFSE Scholarship, applicants must:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or recognized equivalent) from an accredited institution with a minimum of 3 years of full-time study (180 ECTS credits) in any of the following fields:
    • Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering
    • Material Sciences, Chemistry, Physics, Applied Physics
    • Architecture, Urbanism, or Spatial Planning
    • Or any other related discipline.
  • Applicants in their final year of study at the time of application may also apply, provided they obtain their degree before the programme start date.
  • Provide a valid English language certificate (no older than 3.5 years from the start date of the programme in September).
    • For IELTS, TOEFL, Trinity ISE, or PTE, the certificate must not be older than two years.

Scholarship Benefits

Selected students for the Erasmus Mundus Joint Mastebr (EMJM) Scholarship will receive:

  • A monthly stipend of up to €1,400 for living expenses.
  • Full tuition waiver (no tuition fees charged).
  • Travel costs and other academic-related expenses covered.
  • Opportunity to study at world-leading universities across multiple countries.
  • Exposure to international research, innovation, and practical training in Fire Safety Engineering.
