The Presidential Scholarship is Eastern Michigan University’s highest undergraduate award for incoming first-year students. The scholarship covers full tuition, housing, and meals for four years, amounting to a total value of around $100,000.
Presidential Scholars are automatically enrolled in The Honors College at EMU, where they gain access to enriched academic experiences, leadership development, critical thinking enhancement, and community engagement.
Applicants must be in their final year of high school (senior year) and plan to enroll in the Fall 2025 intake to be eligible for this competitive award.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Eastern Michigan University Presidential Scholarship 2025, applicants must:
- Be a current high school senior or incoming freshman for Fall 2025
- Hold a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA, and:
- Have a 25 ACT composite score or
- 1200 SAT score (Critical Reading + Math only)
- Note: Students with a GPA of 3.85 or higher are not required to submit ACT or SAT scores
- Apply for admission to Eastern Michigan University
- Submit official transcripts and test scores (if required) by the deadline
