DYF was founded by Dr. Danladi Yunana, whose inspiring journey from growing up in a low-income neighborhood in Maiduguri with parents who had no formal education, to earning three academic degrees across Africa, Europe, and Australia—reflects the transformative power of education and resilience.

Driven by this vision, DYF focuses on expanding educational access, mentorship, and leadership opportunities—starting in Taraba State and extending across Northern Nigeria. The foundation operates through a dedicated volunteer network and a strategic advisory council, impacting over 90 students across multiple Nigerian universities through its scholarship and mentorship programs.
