Program Details

The Chula-Global Library Visiting Fellowship is a two-month immersive program hosted by the Office of Academic Resources (OAR) at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok. It is designed for African library and information professionals interested in digital preservation, scholarly communication, machine-learning in libraries, and Southeast Asian studies.

Participants may choose between two tracks: Professional Practice, which involves hands-on projects such as digital curation, research data management, and cultural collection preservation; or a Research Fellowship, focused on producing academic papers using rare Southeast Asian collections. With Bangkok’s multicultural setting and strong academic resources, the fellowship offers an enriching environment for knowledge exchange and cross-cultural collaboration.

Eligibility Criteria

To be qualified for the Chula-Global Library Visiting Fellowship, applicants must:

  • Be non-Thai citizens
  • Be full-time employees of a reputable university or institution (with employer approval)
  • Possess strong English communication skills
  • Be available full-time for two months in 2026
  • Not be enrolled in an academic degree program

Track-Specific Requirements
