Scholarship Overview
The SHE Soars Scholarship, launched in 2019 by the Christopher Kolade Foundation, aims to enable access to higher education for girls from low-income backgrounds. The program provides both financial sponsorship and one-on-one mentorship, creating a supportive network for academic and personal development.
Since inception, the program has supported over two dozen girls studying diverse courses such as Medicine, Law, Mechatronics Engineering, Psychology, and Aeronautical Engineering across various public universities in Nigeria.
Each scholar is paired with a mentor who guides them through their academic journey and helps nurture their leadership potential.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the SHE Soars Scholarship 2025, applicants must:
- Be female graduates of a Nigerian public secondary school
- Have confirmed admission into a Nigerian public tertiary institution
Scholarship Benefits
Selected scholars will receive:
- An annual sponsorship of ₦300,000, which covers:
- Tuition fees
- Books and academic materials
- Monthly living stipend
- Continued support for the entire duration of the recipient’s undergraduate program, estimated at 4 to 6 years, depending on the course of study
