The Chevening Clore Leadership Fellowship is a collaborative initiative between the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and Clore Leadership, designed to strengthen leadership capacity within the global arts and culture sector. Eligibility Criteria
To be qualified for the Chevening Clore Leadership Fellowship, applicants must:
- Be a citizen of one of the eligible countries: Brazil, China, Egypt, India, Jordan, Lebanon, Mexico, or South Africa
- Intend to return to their home country at the end of the fellowship period
- Hold a degree equivalent to at least a good UK second-class honours degree or possess equivalent professional training and/or experience
- Have completed a minimum of five years’ work experience (or equivalent) by the end of 2023
- Meet the general eligibility requirements of the Chevening Fellowships programme
- Demonstrate a good working knowledge of English, assessed during the application and interview stages
- Not hold British or dual British citizenship
- Not be an employee, former employee, or close relative of an employee of His Majesty’s Government or related bodies within the last two years
Scholarship Benefits
Successful applicants of the Chevening Clore Leadership Fellowship will receive:
- Up to two return economy flights between the home country and the UK
- Accommodation during the fellowship period in the UK
- Living expenses throughout the duration of the programme
- A secondment placement of approximately 4–6 weeks at a UK cultural institution
- An individually tailored fellowship learning plan
- Coverage for courses, conferences, and professional development activities in the UK
- Training and development costs within the UK
- Travel costs within the UK
- Up to £4,000 development budget for learning-related expenses
- £14,000 bursary to support time away from work during the fellowship
