Scholarship Details
Organized by the Canadian Center for Cultural Diplomacy (CCCD) in partnership with both regional and international stakeholders, the Canada International Forum in Digital Soft Power serves as a dynamic and interdisciplinary platform for dialogue.
The theme of the 2025 edition, “Digital Soft Power and Cultural Diplomacy in the Age of Algorithms,” will bring together policymakers, scholars, technologists, artists, and cultural actors from across the world. The forum aims to critically analyze the geopolitical, ethical, and cultural dimensions of digital influence while promoting inclusive dialogue and international cooperation. Participants will explore innovative strategies to navigate the digital landscape and strengthen intercultural understanding through meaningful exchange.
Eligibility Criteria
To be qualified for this scholarships, applicants must:
- Be at least 18 years old (no upper age limit)
- Be a student or professional in fields such as International Relations, Communication, Cultural Studies, Diplomacy, Technology, Media, Arts, or related disciplines
- Be individuals with interest or experience in digital platforms, cross-cultural work, or public diplomacy are highly encouraged to apply
- Demonstrate conversational proficiency in English
- Have a brief motivation letter is required
- Show a strong interest in topics like digital diplomacy, global communication, or cultural exchange
- Have experience in forums, volunteer work, tech initiatives, digital advocacy, or social media engagement is an added advantage
Scholarship Benefits
Successful applicants of this scholarship will receive:
- 10 Fully Funded international slots (includes flight, accommodation, meals, and forum access)
- 20 Partially Funded slots (covers accommodation and forum access only)
- Leadership-building experiences, professional networking, and cross-cultural collaboration

- Quality and sincerity of motivation letter
- Relevance of academic/professional background to forum themes
- Leadership and community impact potential
- Diversity in gender, geography, and profession will be prioritized
- Preference will be given to youth, women, and candidates from marginalized or underrepresented communities
