Scholarship Details
The Brazil Government Scholarship 2026 is delivered through the Postgraduate Student Agreement Program (PEC-PG), a collaborative initiative managed by the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE), the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES), and the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq).
This international cooperation program aims to promote academic exchange between Brazil and partner countries by offering foreign students the opportunity to pursue postgraduate degrees at Brazilian higher education institutions. In turn, it enriches Brazilian academic spaces through intercultural engagement and shared research expertise.

Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Brazil Government Scholarship (PEC-PG), applicants must:
- Be citizens of countries participating in the PEC-PG cooperation agreement
- Apply for full Master’s, full Doctorate, or Sandwich Doctorate programs at Brazilian higher education institutions (HEIs)
- Submit all required academic and personal documents as outlined in the official call for applications
- Meet the academic and institutional criteria defined by the chosen HEIs
- Fully accept the terms and conditions of the program, as registration implies agreement with all provisions

Duration of Scholarships:
- Sandwich Doctorate: 6 to 10 months
