Scholarship Details
The Auburn University Graduate Assistantship Scholarship offers two Master’s (MS) assistantship positions beginning in May or September 2026 at Auburn University in collaboration with the Aquatic Reproductive Physiology Laboratory, led by Dr. Ian A.E. Butts.
The selected students will work on research projects focused on developing intensive indoor rearing strategies for aquatic species during their early life stages. Through both basic and applied research, scholars will investigate the developmental, physiological, and behavioral processes associated with aquatic organisms.
The research will particularly focus on improving environmental and management conditions that influence growth and development. This includes studying factors such as light exposure, oxygen levels, tank design, and feeding strategies. Students will conduct detailed research and ultimately produce a comprehensive thesis based on their findings.
